This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending Meghann and Derek’s wedding in Titusville, FL. Two weddings in one week is definitely a record for me!
Meghann was a stunning bride and she and Derek are an amazing couple!
Meghann’s been planning her rustic barnyard wedding for about a year, and many aspects of the day were DIY. From the flowers to the centerpieces to the table place cards, all the details were absolutely perfect. There was also a snowflake theme and that was carried out in so many of the details. I can hands down say that this was the best-decorated wedding I have ever been to.
The ceremony was short and sweet; Meghann and Derek wrote their own vows and sealed it with a pinky promise 🙂
The new Mr. and Mrs. headed off for pictures while the reception got started.
I was flyin solo this weekend because Bill was working, but I had my XP gang to hang out with, which definitely made up for it. We were all at the 02.15.09 table. Each table number was a special date in Derek and Meghann’s relationship. Ours was the day Derek told Meghann he wanted to be with her 🙂
While we waited for dinner, we grabbed a drink and then headed to the “photobooth”. We posed for some silly photos before welcoming the bridal party to the reception.
One of my favorite parts of the night was the “I Spy“ game. Check out Meghann’s post to learn more about it; but I had a blast taking all kinds of fun pictures and seeing pictures that others were posting. One of the things you had to photograph was a “Long lost friend.”
HAHAH I had such a hard time keeping a straight face while staging this one. Thanks for taking the pics Courtney!
I also thought it was very cool that Meghann encouraged the sharing of photos via social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). I took full advantage and got some great shots. Check out my Instagram profile to see some more.
We danced, danced, and danced some more, only stopping for a short time to dive into the delicious red velvet cake.
So pretty. And delicious too!
Before we knew it, the party was wrapping up, and it was time to see the couple off.
We all grabbed our sparklers and lit their way as they headed out for their first night as husband and wife.
The wedding was absolutely perfect- a beautiful couple, an incredible venue, and lots of friends and family. Congrats Meghann and Derek! I’m so glad to have been part of your day!
Question of the day: What’s the coolest wedding you’ve ever been to?
